Project overview
Extension of historically important Grade II* listed building. The extension replaced the existing 1970s octagonal flat roof kitchen with a one and a half storey traditional kitchen dining space / utility / WC with a studio and shower room above. Designed using traditional materials and details with oak frame windows, lime render and handmade plain clay tiles.
A single storey hall was used to link the extension to the existing house. On the side wall of the link a beautiful new purpose-made oak front door was designed with glazing on either side to provide a new main entrance to the property. The link ties the listed building to the extension, bridging the old with the new.
